For me, breathing serves as a bridge between the inner and outer worlds, much like the tides that connect land and sea.

The natural rhythm of inhalation and exhalation guides my artistic practice, where the expansion of water on paper mirrors the rise of breath, and its gentle retreat reflects the soft release of air.

The pigment, like breath, is carried effortlessly by the water, filling the fibers of the paper before contracting back.

Having been raised near bodies of water, I have always been attuned to the flow of tides—a rhythmic dance that parallels the act of breathing. This underlying rhythm informs my work, blending the abstract concepts of traditional Chinese aesthetics with my deep connection to the natural world.

Each piece is a meditation on the transient nature of existence, inviting viewers to breathe in sync with the art and discover the beauty in both stillness and movement.
